Tasuko Batter Mix on 7-Eleven's shelf

“Tasuko” batter mix by Ubon Sunflower Co., Ltd. (UBS), a subsidiary company of Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited or UBE, is expanded its distribution channels to be listed in 7Eleven Thailand in March 16, 2023. “Tasuko” batter mix presents cassava flour innovation and promotes the Gluten Free, high fiber, no MSG, prolong crispness of fried dishes. Tasuko is guaranteed by the Superior Taste Award 2023.
Miss Sureeyot Khowsurat, Chief Executive Officer and President of UBE on behalf of UBS, one of Thailand's largest manufacturers and distributors of processed cassava products, said that 
“The consumption trend is focusing on health, which it supports Tasuko batter mix, gluten-free cassava flour mix, to start selling at over 10,000 stores of 7-Eleven. It reflects that our products are high "quality" and "standard". Cassava flour has properties that are suitable for deep-fried foods as it helps prolong the crispness. Moreover, Tasuko also guaranteed by an international taste award, which is Superior Taste Award. Increasing product’s distribution channels is one of the strategic plans to reach as many consumers as possible. Consumers with gluten allergies will be more to be more convenient to access Gluten-Free product. Also, increasing Tasuko distribution will help increase the amount of cassava flour consumption. This is considered as the support to Thai Tapioca Farmers by domestic raw materials. This year, the company has a plan to increase production capacity to meet the needs of both domestic and international markets. And is determined to develop cassava flour products to more products categories."

Tasuko Batter mix is officially launched in early 2022 with 2 flavors: Original and Spicy. The distribution strategy focuses on modern retail stores (Modern Trade) with marketing activities to create brand awareness to target consumer groups who love fried dishes and who are allergic to gluten.

Consumers with gluten intolerance may experience gastrointestinal disorders, dizziness or severe symptoms may even lead loss of consciousness. Consumers can avoid or reduce the risk of gluten allergies by choosing cassava flour. In Thailand, there are limited choice of gluten free products, which “Tasuko” hopes to become one of the leaders in this product category that provide consumers with good health and reduce the chance of gluten intolerance.
